It is written in the bible that we should give 10 percent of our income. God says that we are stealing from him if we do not. He also tells us to feed the hungry. I do love to go grocery shopping and bring food to the local Salvation Army. I have taken advantage of the buy 1 get 2 free sales at my grocer and I some of the extra items to the Salvation Army. I used to volunteer some time at my local chapter and I have over heard people say that they have never needed help before and did not know where to go to ask for help or what to do. This is why I like to give to the Salvation Army. I enjoy knowing that a family who has reached a point of desperation now has a hot meal at home because of me.
