Why Don't We See Major Miracles Today?

I'm not saying miracles don't still happen, but all the ones you hear about tend to be smaller miracles that affect a single person to maybe a couple of dozen.  Why don't we still see the major miracles like walking on water, the Egyptian plagues, parting of the Red Sea, feeding of thousands, raising of the dead and the stopping of the Sun?

The miracles of old served a practical purpose. They were not used a as slight of hand or magic shows. I think miracles do occur, just not in the big dramatic way it did back with Moses or Elijah. Too many people that want to see miracles today are searching for a show or want to have God affirm their own selfish motivations. If you look at history using the Bible there really werent many miracles performed on the basis of "Lord bless me" or "my." Miracles came out of practical need. IMHO

You ought to check out Andrew Wommack - awmi.org.  Since about 1980, the Lord has used him to raise 9 people from the dead - including his own son who was in a morgue and partly black.  All his teaching - daily radio and TV - since 2000 are FREE  on his site.  His worldwide ministry - including a network of Bible colleges - are reaching millions.

I attended one of his conferences in Chicago in spring 2009 and saw people healed when his staff or his students prayed for them - not just when he prayed.  He is truly equipping the saints for the work of the ministry.  He is not flashy - just a humble but powerful saint in Christ.

Check out on the Internet the teachings of Curry Blake/John G. Lake Ministries

Another excellent video is:  dan mohler - perspectives on you tube.

The bible says we all have a measure of Faith.  We have the faith within us to believe but we choose not to for whatever reason.  When Jesus died on the Cross, He said, It is finished"  Jesus can't do anymore than He has already done for us.  New Testament confirms that "By His stripes, we are healed"  healed is past tense.  It is already done, we need now to take it and walk with it in Faith.

There is a site that I joined it is called:  Fullness of Christ Dicipleship.  It deals with healing people.  They get together on Skype to pray for people who are sick and we see healings every week.  Ask to join, just say you would talking to me.  Come join in and listen.  If you are sick, the group can pray and you will be healed that very night.  It is on Facebook.  The site is by Cheryl Fritz.
