Matthew 6:19 - 21 - "Don't lay up treasures for yourselves on the earth, where moth and rust consume, and where thieves break through and steal; but lay up for yourselves treasures in heaven, where neither moth nor rust consume, and where thieves don't break through and steal; for where your treasure is, there your heart will be also.
Romans 13:8 - 10 - Owe no one anything, except to love one another; for he who loves his neighbor has fulfilled the law. For the commandments, "You shall not commit adultery," "You shall not murder," "You shall not steal," "You shall not covet," and whatever other commandments there are, are all summed up in this saying, namely, "You shall love your neighbor as yourself." Love doesn't harm a neighbor. Love therefore is the fulfillment of the law.
James 4:3 - You ask, and don't receive, because you ask with wrong motives, so that you may spend it for your pleasures.
Proverbs 21:18 - The wicked is a ransom for the righteous; the treacherous for the upright.
